Cork

  • Cork is a truly sustainable “green-building” material. Trees are grown and the bark is harvested in the centuries old tradition without harming either the trees or their habitat. Bark is initially sent to a factory to create stoppers for wine bottles. Cork flooring is then created from post-industrial by-product of the bottle-stopper industry. This ‘waste’ material is ground up and then formed into sheets using minimal amounts of adhesive to bind the particles together under high pressure.
  • Natural CORK is environmentally correct as well as improving health and comfort for human indoor living. In our homes, cork floors create a warm, comfortable, resilient surface that is gentle underfoot, is anti-microbial, will not spread flame, and is inherently resistant to molds, mildews, and common pests. From harvest to production to installation, cork is environmentally sustainable, non-toxic, and healthy.

Rubber

  • Rubber flooring is made from recycled tires through an energy efficient, low-waste manufacturing process. It is as tough and resilient as the original tires. Weather won't effect it; water and extreme temperatures are taken in stride. And with slip-resistance that goes way beyond vinyl or conventional rubber flooring, rubber flooring offers eye-appeal and forget-about-it durability, indoors or out - even where safety is your number one concern.
  • For the environmentally conscious, "green", designers and specifiers, rubber flooring is one of the most environmentally friendly flooring options. It is made from 100% post-consumer SBR tire rubber and 30% post-industrial EPDM. The manufacturing process has a low impact on the environment.

Bamboo

  • Unlike hardwood trees requiring more than 60 years to mature, bamboo is a grass that is renewably harvested over and over from the same plant. The bamboo stalk is split into slats to extract the premium part of the culm. The slats are then laminated with an environmentally safe adhesive under hydraulic pressure to produce planks for flooring, panels and veneer. We carry natural bamboo as well as carbonized and stained varieties.

Lyptus

  • Lyptus®  is quickly becoming one of the world’s most important hardwood lumbers, primarily because it represents a fully sustainable and renewable resource.  In terms of density, strength and technical properties Lyptus® compares favorably with hardwood maple.  In appearance it rivals cherry and mahogany. It is receptive to all common types of finishing, including water and solution-based lacquers, various types of pigments, and oil and wax.
